What to share?

Clear, consistent communication is crucial in achieving and maintaining customer satisfaction. If you're on a train and it comes to a stop, nothing moves for minutes, it's more annoying not knowing what's going on than standing still. That's exactly why it's important to keep customers engaged throughout the construction process, even when there's little concrete to say.

Some inspiration in advance to get you started:

  • Site updates: Show your customers what is going on. Even if there are few visual changes on the outside of the building, there is probably a lot happening on the inside!

  • Meet the team: Who is behind the scenes? Who will your customers come into contact with? Who is building their home?

  • The story behind the project name: Your project name may have come about during a dry brainstorm, or is there just a great story behind it though? Share this with your client to increase engagement.

Practical tip: Wondering how best to go about this? Check out our tips.

Create a News Post

1. Add text, photo(s) or video

Everything is optional, but you have to add at least 1 photo, 1 video or 1 piece of text to be able to send your news item.

Tip: you can set a message for each language within one news item. The customer will see the message in the language they have set within their profile settings.Tip: you can set a message for each language within one news item. 2. Select your target audience (Only for Projects with multiple Units)

By default, your news item is shared with the entire project. Every customer who bought a unit will see your message.

You can also narrow your target group by focusing on a specific level (phase, lot, building or unit). This can be interesting when you are on site, for example. With a few clicks, you take a picture of a newly installed kitchen and send it as a personal message to the customer. Such an update will definitely be appreciated!

With the Multiselect button (right) you can create your ideal target group.

3. Send out

Once you click the Submit button, your news item will be published and the selected target group will receive a notification.

Adding a video

In addition to text and images, it is also possible to upload a video via a YouTube link. Copy the URL of the video from YouTube and paste it into Ziggu.

Tip: Prefer not to have your video publicly viewable on YouTube? Change the privacy settings on YouTube and make the video ‘unlisted’. More info via the Google help article.

Edit or delete

Uh Oh! Did you post the wrong message? You can always delete or edit your news posts via the three dots on the news post.

Tip: Customers are not notified of changes. If you delete a news item, notifications for the customer will be removed. However, note that an email notification may have already been sent, depending on the recipient's settings.
